Betty Jean Terrell was born in Monroe, Louisiana on January 28, 1951 to Christine & JC Jackson. Betty was the oldest of 3 siblings. Betty completed her education in Los Angeles California, where she graduated from Freemont High school. Betty perused additional education and a career in nursing where she attended Southland College of Medical Dental Careers earning tittle of Medical Assistant recognized by the National Association of Trade and Technical School on May 17th 1974. She continued her studies at Compton College where she received her Associate in Science Degree on August 13th 1981 to then become a Licensed Vocational Nurse accredited by The Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician Examiners in the state of California on September 3rd 1981.
Betty was a very hard worker, and for over 25 years she worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Health and Services as a Nurse where she retired as a Psychiatric Nurse from King Drew Medical Center.
For 21 years Betty was married to love of her life Abe Terrell, from this union there were 4 children, Tonya Terrell, Fabian Davis, Abraham Terrell, and Joseph Terrell. Betty was a loving mother, wife and friend and loved to travel, garden, sew and fish.
Betty preceded in death by her husband Abe Terrell, mother Christine Jackson, father JC Jackson, 2 sisters Irma Jean Jackson, Linda Kirkwood. Betty followed by her only daughter Tonya Terrell in death on August 30th 2018.
Betty leaves behind one sister Mary Ann, three son’s Fabian, Abraham and Joseph, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of family and friends to which she played a pivotal part in their lives.
