Clara Jiroz

Clara Jiroz, age 84, of Roswell New Mexico, passed away gracefully on Friday Jan 20, 2023, in Norwalk CA surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on Aug 12, 1938, in Roswell NM, to her late Parents Pablo and Guadalupe Flores. 

In her early years she spent her time living between Roswell, NM and Santa Ana California until she met her Husband, Bennie Jiroz and married. They settled back in Roswell, NM where they built their home up by hand. Clara was always a very hard working women who was always on the go and had many talents. 

She could be found on most days outdoors gardening or out and about as she would always say, "Painting the Town Red". She also enjoyed cooking (she made the best homemade tortillas), sewing, pottery and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also had a deep, deep love for the Casino! Buffalo!!! 

Some would say she was a bit of a fashionista as she enjoyed her leopard clothing, her lip sticks and big hoop earrings. She certainly had a lively, playful personality and enjoyed breaking out into song where ever she was. She was also a women of faith and spirit.

Clara was truly an amazing women who you where lucky to know. And her love for her family and her pets was unimaginable. She will be forever missed and forever loved.

Clara was preceded in death by her Husband Bennie Jiroz of 24 Years, 4 brothers Manuel, Cruz, Samuel, Carlos and 3 sisters Estella, Anna, Juanita and her life long pet chihuahua Sugar. 

Clara is survived by her Great Grandson Michael-Anthony Alanis, his wife Alisha and their four children of Tucson Az, her daughter in heart Connie Chavez, her Step-Daughter Freda Lujan, four grandchildren Geneva Green, James Alanis, Bennie Alanis, and Moses Alanis, 11 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
