Edward Vaca passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 from cancer at Nathan Adelson Hospice Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born January 17, 1946 Fullerton, CA .
The son of Alfonso Vaca Sr. and Lorraine Vaca he was the youngest of 4 children: siblings Connie (Vaca) Gaxiola, Alfonso Vaca Jr and Mary (Vaca) Torres.
He was a retired truck driver & native resident of Southern California, residing there until moving to North Las Vegas in 2018.
Edward served in the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Ord in Monterey, CA. Edward and Patsy Torralbo married in 1967, and lived in Northern California during their first years of marriage.
In 1971, he moved with his wife and two daughters to Long Beach, CA. Shortly following, his cousin Tom taught him to drive big rig trucks. This began his lifelong love of trucks and long-haul trucking career, taking him across the U.S. until he retired in 2014.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Edward is survived by his 3 children Robert Vaca, Toni Abeyta, Renee Castillo; son in-laws Frank Abeyta and Edwin Castillo; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren
