With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sergio Soto on September 25, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on September 16, 1955, in Durango, Mexico, Sergio grew up in Mexicali, Baja California Norte, before moving to the United States in his early twenties. He found purpose and pride in his work as an auto mechanic, where his dedication to quality and service was evident to all who knew him.

Sergio's heart, however, held many passions beyond his work. A lover of nature and history, he spent countless hours learning and immersing himself in these subjects. His love for animals was profound, eventually inspiring him to pursue an education in animal care later in life. This commitment was just one example of Sergio’s lifelong curiosity and desire to learn.

Sergio was a man of kindness and generosity who took pride in supporting his loved ones. He was a devoted father and grandfather, ever-present with a helping hand or comforting words. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.

Sergio leaves behind a legacy of love, curiosity, and commitment. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory lives on in the lives he touched, the animals he cared for, and the many questions he sparked about the world around us.
